This restaurant i give 5 stars for two reasons. I worked here over the summer and it saw the quality of the food. Second the chefs that are in the kitchen are top notch. I would put those chefs up against any chefs in New York, San Francisco, Houston and Miami. The lady who runs the place is not the friendliest as far as how she treats her staff (talk down to them a lot)...which is why I don't work there anymore. However the chefs do a GREAT JOB there. If I had to rate her it would be 1/2 a star. But great food

My absolute favorite is their homemade cheddar buns served with the meal. This place is pretty legit. Reservations are a good idea but if you hit at the right time you can slip in for a delectable meal. It’s just that good!
My husband and I needed an impromptu place for dinner and dropped in here along our search. We walked in and the hostess asked if we had a reservation. I wasn’t anticipating needing one but she said there was a cancellation and if we could leave in an hour and a half we could get a table. With the prompt impeccable service we were out within an hour and it was absolutely incredible! My husband got the duck special, not only was it a literal entire duck he said it was the best duck he has ever add. I got the fried shrimp which were the size of the palm of my hand and just perfect. From the service, the amazing bread basket, the wine, the food and the cozy booths, this will absolutely become our new place for a nice dinner out.
Solid. ALWAYS get the prime rib on Saturday night! Don't forget the haystack onion rings.
AND YES get the horseradish sauce with the prime rib!
An icon of Mequon with a great feel for old Wisconsin. Great fish fry, can be very busy on weekends as it is a neighborhood hangout for many.
I chose the prime rib. It was perfect. My date had the pepper crusted sirloin. Everything was delicious. Drinks were great.
The food was excellent
The waitress serving us was fabulous
However, I have no respect for the female manager, whom seemingly chose our group to inform us,in a rude tone, we have to hurry and eat so the next group can have our table. We asked the manager if she wanted us to leave while already enjoying appetizers. She said, it was our prerogative !? No apology was made to us for her anxious behavior. We had a confirmed 5:00 reservations. Our group spent over $350.00 for dinner. One person of our group is a steady customer. When we left we noticed there were many empty tables. To close this review go for the food.
This is a long-standing, excellent supper-club type restaurant that is jammed every night because it's that good. Wed is lobster night, fri fish fry, Saturday prime rib. They also have 3 other highlighted dishes every night.
